Ingredients
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Whisk in the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika until smooth.
- Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted.
- Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use freshly grated cheese for better melting.
- Add breadcrumbs on top before baking for extra crunch.
