Description
A delicious pasta salad inspired by the flavors of a Big Mac, perfect for picnics or quick meals.
Ingredients
- 2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked and cooled
- 1 lb ground beef, cooked and drained
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced pickles
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and let cool.
- Brown the ground beef in a pan, drain excess fat, and let cool.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked macaroni, ground beef, cheese, pickles, and onions.
- In a small bowl, whisk together Thousand Island dressing, mayonnaise, mustard, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Pour the dressing over the pasta mixture and stir until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, use ground turkey instead of beef.
- Add chopped lettuce for extra crunch.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
