A creamy and cheesy broccoli casserole that’s easy to prepare and perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Steam broccoli florets until tender, then drain.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour to form a roux.
- Gradually add milk, stirring until thickened.
- Mix in mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Fold in broccoli and 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese.
- Transfer mixture to a baking dish and top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- Use fresh broccoli for best texture.
- Substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream if desired.
- Let casserole rest 5 minutes before serving.
