Description
Sweet and tender carrots glazed with brown sugar for a simple side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add carrots, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat.
- Pour in water and bring to a simmer.
- Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Uncover and cook for 5 more minutes until glaze thickens.
- Serve warm.

- Use fresh carrots for best texture.
- Adjust sugar to taste.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor.
