Description

A hearty and simple cabbage and ground beef casserole that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
  5. Stir in cabbage and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Mix in diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with cheese.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for ground beef.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat.
