Description
A hearty and simple cabbage and ground beef casserole that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small cabbage, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
- Stir in cabbage and cook for 5 minutes.
- Mix in diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey for ground beef.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
