Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
- 2 cups pasta, uncooked
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup peas
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and carrots. Cook until soft.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Add cooked chicken, peas, salt, pepper, and thyme. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in cooked pasta and serve warm.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for quicker prep.
- Swap peas for green beans if preferred.
