A festive and healthier take on the classic peanut butter blossoms, using dark chocolate for a richer flavor and less sugar.
Ingredients
- 1 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 24 dark chocolate kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix peanut butter, honey, egg, and vanilla.
- Add almond flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir well.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Press a dark chocolate kiss into each cookie while warm.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Use unsweetened peanut butter for fewer calories.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- For extra crunch, add chopped nuts to the dough.
