Description

A healthy lasagna recipe perfect for Christmas, designed to be made ahead and frozen for convenience.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
  3. Brown ground turkey with onion and garlic in a skillet.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix ricotta cheese, egg, and spinach in a bowl.
  6. Layer noodles, turkey mixture, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella in a baking dish.
  7. Repeat layers, ending with mozzarella on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and bake for 10 more minutes.
  10. Let cool before freezing or serving.
