Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat pasta
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 cup kalamata olives
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add garlic and onion, sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in bell pepper and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add diced tomatoes, olives, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in pasta and enough water to cover it.
- Simmer for 10-12 minutes until pasta is tender.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
