Description

Ingredients

  • 12 whole wheat lasagna sheets
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna sheets according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Mix ricotta, egg, walnuts, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce in a baking dish.
  5. Place 4 lasagna sheets on top.
  6. Spread half the ricotta mixture over the sheets.
  7. Repeat layers, ending with tomato sauce and mozzarella.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
