Description
Crispy country fried pork chops topped with rich bacon gravy.
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops (1/2 inch thick)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 slices bacon
- 2 tbsp bacon grease
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a shallow dish.
- Whisk egg and milk in another dish.
- Dip pork chops in egg mixture, then coat with flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove pork chops and drain on paper towels.
- Cook bacon in the same skillet until crispy.
- Remove bacon, leaving 2 tbsp grease in the skillet.
- Whisk flour into bacon grease and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add milk, salt, and pepper, stirring until thickened.
- Crumble bacon into gravy.
- Serve pork chops topped with bacon gravy.
Notes
- Use thick-cut pork chops for best results.
- Let pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Adjust gravy thickness with more milk if needed.
