Ingredients
- 5 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions
- Place peeled and cubed potatoes in a large pot of salted water.
- Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add milk, butter, salt, and pepper.
- Mash until smooth and creamy.
- Transfer to a crock pot and keep warm on low heat.
- Set up a toppings bar with shredded cheese, bacon bits, chives, and other favorites.
- Let guests customize their mashed potatoes with toppings.
Notes
- Use Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes for the best texture.
- For extra flavor, substitute some of the milk with chicken or vegetable broth.
