Description

A simple and tasty slow-cooked version of the classic sloppy joes. Perfect for busy days when you want a hearty meal with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.

  3. Add onion, bell pepper, tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the crockpot.
  4. Stir well to combine.

  6. Serve on hamburger buns.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a dash of hot sauce or red pepper flakes.
