Description

A hearty dish combining tender cheesesteak with cheese-filled tortellini in a creamy provolone sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb cheese-filled tortellini
  • 1 lb thinly sliced steak
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add steak and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  4. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Stir in provolone cheese until melted.
  5. Return steak to the skillet. Add cooked tortellini and toss to coat.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use fresh tortellini for best results.
  • Adjust cheese quantity for a thicker or thinner sauce.
