Description
A classic French dip sandwich features thinly sliced roast beef on a French roll, served with a side of au jus for dipping.
Ingredients
- 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
- 4 French rolls
- 1 packet au jus mix
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 slices provolone cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare au jus according to packet instructions.
- Slice French rolls and lightly butter them.
- Toast rolls until golden brown.
- Layer roast beef (and cheese if using) on rolls.
- Serve immediately with au jus on the side for dipping.
Notes
- For best results, use freshly baked French rolls.
