Description
A simple and healthy pizza alternative using broccoli as the crust base.
Ingredients
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce
- 1/4 cup shredded cheese (for topping)
- Optional toppings: cherry tomatoes, basil, olives
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Blend broccoli florets into fine crumbs.
- Mix broccoli crumbs with egg and mozzarella cheese.
- Press the mixture onto a lined baking sheet into a pizza shape.
- Bake for 20 minutes until firm.
- Spread pizza sauce, add cheese and toppings.
- Bake for another 5-7 minutes until cheese melts.
Notes
- Pat the broccoli dry after blending to remove excess moisture.
- Let the crust cool slightly before adding toppings.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
