Make your own healthy beef jerky at home using an air fryer. This recipe is simple, requires minimal ingredients, and delivers a protein-packed snack.
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean beef (top round or flank steak)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp liquid smoke
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- Slice the beef into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Add beef strips to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the air fryer to 160°F (70°C).
- Place marinated beef strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Cook for 3-4 hours, flipping halfway through, until the jerky is dry but still slightly flexible.
- Let cool before storing in an airtight container.
