Description
A wholesome and flavorful bread combining the sweetness of apples with warm cinnamon for a delicious treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Combine wet ingredients in another bowl.
- Fold wet mixture into dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour half the batter into the pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Add remaining batter and swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden.
- Cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use ripe apples for natural sweetness.
- Substitute maple syrup for honey if preferred.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
