Description
A hearty and healthy chowder featuring Brussels sprouts and bacon for a flavorful meal.
Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a pot until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté onion and garlic in the bacon fat until soft.
- Add Brussels sprouts and cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and simmer until sprouts are tender.
- Stir in heavy cream and thyme. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve topped with crispy bacon.
