Ingredients
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 4 slices of prosciutto
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 chicken breasts or 1 large eggplant (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, stirring occasionally (about 15-20 minutes).
- Add balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper to the onions, then remove from heat.
- If using chicken or eggplant, prepare by seasoning lightly.
- Spread caramelized onions evenly over prosciutto slices.
- Wrap prosciutto around chicken or eggplant slices.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until fully cooked.
Notes
- Use a non-stick pan for easier caramelization.
- Adjust cooking time based on protein or vegetable thickness.
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of thyme or rosemary.
