Ingredients
- 4 whole wheat hot dog buns
- 4 turkey or chicken hot dogs
- 1 cup low-sodium canned chili
- 1/2 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onions and bell peppers until soft.
- Add chili powder and garlic powder to the vegetables, stir well.
- Place hot dog buns in a baking dish. Add a hot dog to each bun.
- Top each hot dog with chili, sautéed vegetables, and shredded cheese.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and buns are slightly toasted.
- Serve hot.
