Ingredients
- 500g ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp dill, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a bowl, mix ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, parsley, and red onion.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs and place on a baking tray.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- For the tzatziki, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, olive oil, and dill in a bowl.
- Serve meatballs warm with tzatziki sauce.
Notes
- Use lean ground chicken for a healthier option.
- Squeeze excess water from the grated cucumber to prevent a watery sauce.
- Refrigerate tzatziki for at least 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
