A hearty and healthy meatloaf dinner perfect for Christmas gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
- Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard in a small bowl.
- Spread the sauce over the meatloaf.
- Bake for 1 hour or until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Use lean beef to keep it healthier.
- You can substitute breadcrumbs with oats.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
