Description
A rich and flavorful homemade spaghetti sauce that’s perfect for pasta dishes.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Add ground beef, cook until browned.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, pepper, and sugar.
- Add water and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
