Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt


Instructions

  1. Combine cranberries, sugar, water, and orange juice in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir until sugar dissolves and mixture begins to simmer.
  3. Add onion, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  4. Reduce heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and mixture thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool before serving.
