Description
A quick and easy one-pan meal with tender chicken, spicy sausage, and creamy pepper jack cheese sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless chicken breasts, diced
- 4 oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 cup diced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken and sausage. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Stir in bell peppers and onion. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Reduce heat to low. Add heavy cream, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Mix in shredded cheese until melted and smooth.
- Toss in cooked pasta. Stir to combine.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use gluten-free pasta if needed.
- Adjust spice level with more or less pepper jack cheese.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
