Description
A healthier version of classic chicken parmesan made crispy in the air fryer with less oil.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix breadcrumbs, parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Beat egg in a separate bowl.
- Dip chicken in egg, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Spray air fryer basket with oil and place chicken inside.
- Cook for 10 minutes, flip, then cook 5 more minutes.
- Top with marinara and mozzarella, cook 2 minutes until melted.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
- Check chicken internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Serve with extra marinara for dipping.
