A nutritious and flavorful bowl featuring crispy sesame tofu and fresh broccoli, perfect for a healthy meal.
Ingredients
- 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup cooked brown rice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss tofu cubes with cornstarch and 1 tbsp sesame oil.
- Bake tofu for 25 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Steam broccoli for 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Mix soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl.
- Toss baked tofu and steamed broccoli in the sauce.
- Serve over brown rice, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Notes
- Press tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove excess water.
- Adjust sauce sweetness or saltiness to taste.
- Add chili flakes for extra heat.
