Description
Tender steak bites cooked in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for a healthy and easy meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (for thickening)
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Add steak bites to the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then stir into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, add more cornstarch as needed.
- Serve over rice or with steamed vegetables.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
