Description
A healthy and flavorful dish made with sausage and peppers, cooked slowly in a crock pot for maximum taste.
Ingredients
- 1 lb turkey sausage, sliced
- 2 bell peppers, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Place sliced sausage, peppers, onion, and garlic in the crock pot.
- Pour tomato sauce over the ingredients.
- Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Stir before serving.
Notes
- Use any color of bell peppers.
- Serve over rice or quinoa.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
