Description
A healthy and flavorful turkey chili with a spicy buffalo twist, made easily in your crockpot.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Brown the ground turkey in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
- Add the cooked turkey, beans, tomatoes, buffalo sauce, onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the crockpot.
- Stir in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Stir well before serving.
Notes
- For extra heat, add more buffalo sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped cilantro if desired.
- This chili freezes well for future meals.
