Description

A healthy and flavorful chicken shawarma recipe perfect for a Christmas dinner. Made in a crockpot for easy preparation and tender results.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and all spices.
  2. Add chicken thighs to the crockpot and pour the spice mixture over them.
  3. Coat the chicken evenly with the spices.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
  5. Shred the chicken with forks before serving.
