A simple and healthy crockpot chicken shawarma recipe packed with flavor. Perfect for meal prep or easy weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and all spices.
- Add chicken thighs and coat evenly with the marinade.
- Place chicken in the crockpot and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
- Shred the chicken with two forks.
- Serve in pita bread, over rice, or with a salad.
