Description
A warm and nutritious breakfast bowl made with quinoa, apples, and cinnamon, cooked in a crockpot for an easy morning meal.
Ingredients
- 1 cup quinoa, rinsed
- 2 cups water or almond milk
- 2 apples, diced
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Rinse the quinoa thoroughly under cold water.
- Add quinoa, water or almond milk, diced apples, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt to the crockpot.
- Stir well to combine.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Stir before serving and add toppings if desired.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Reheat with a splash of milk or water.
- Top with nuts, seeds, or yogurt for extra protein.
