Description
A hearty and healthy stew made with beef, potatoes, and a creamy sauce, cooked slowly in a crockpot for tender results.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef stew meat, cubed
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Place beef, potatoes, onion, carrots, and garlic in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, milk, flour, salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Pour the mixture over the ingredients in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
- Stir before serving.

- Use lean beef for a healthier option.
- Add more vegetables like celery or peas if desired.
- For a thicker stew, mix an extra tablespoon of flour with water and stir in before serving.
