  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the cube steak on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  2. Place the browned steak in the crockpot.
  3. Add sliced onions and minced garlic on top of the steak.
  4. In a bowl, mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, paprika, and black pepper. Pour over the steak.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. If desired, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the sauce to thicken it before serving.
