Description
A hearty and healthy casserole combining tender beef, caramelized onions, and potatoes cooked to perfection in a crockpot.
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 4 large potatoes, sliced
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded low-fat cheese
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
- Layer the sliced potatoes and onions in the crockpot.
- Add the browned beef on top.
- Pour the beef broth over the mixture.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, thyme, and black pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
- Sprinkle cheese on top and cook for another 15 minutes.
- Serve hot.

- For extra flavor, sauté onions before adding.
