Description
A simple and healthy compote made with pears and ginger, cooked slowly in a crockpot for rich flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe pears, peeled and diced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Peel and dice the pears.
- Add all ingredients to the crockpot.
- Cook on low for 4 hours.
- Stir occasionally.
- Serve warm or chilled.
Notes
- Use ripe pears for best texture.
- Adjust honey to taste.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
