Description

A healthy twist on traditional stuffed cabbage rolls, made easy in a crockpot with layers of cabbage, lean ground meat, and tomato sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 head green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey or beef
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried oregano


Instructions

  1. Mix ground meat, rice, onion, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Layer half the chopped cabbage in the crockpot.
  3. Spread meat mixture evenly over cabbage.
  4. Top with remaining cabbage.
  5. Combine tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, and oregano. Pour over cabbage.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for再把4 hours.

Notes

  • Use lean ground meat to reduce fat.
