These healthy dark chocolate sea salt energy balls are a quick and nutritious snack. Packed with natural ingredients, they provide a boost of energy and satisfy sweet cravings.
Ingredients
- 1 cup pitted dates
- 1/2 cup almonds
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Add dates and almonds to a food processor. Blend until finely chopped.
- Add cocoa powder, chia seeds, coconut oil, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Pulse until the mixture sticks together.
- If using dark chocolate chips, fold them into the mixture.
- Roll the mixture into small balls (about 1 tbsp each).
- Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
Notes
- Use Medjool dates for the best texture.
- If the mixture is too dry, add a teaspoon of water.
- For extra crunch, roll the balls in crushed nuts or coconut flakes.
