A delicious and indulgent appetizer combining crispy bacon and creamy mac & cheese in bite-sized portions.
Ingredients
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 12 slices bacon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add milk, cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
- Combine cheese sauce with cooked macaroni. Let cool slightly.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wrap each mac & cheese ball with a bacon slice. Secure with a toothpick.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bacon is crispy.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use thick-cut bacon for better wrapping.
- Let mac & cheese cool before shaping to avoid burns.
- For extra crispiness, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end.
