Description

A simple and healthy Dutch oven bread infused with garlic and herbs for a flavorful homemade loaf.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped


Instructions

  1. Mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil, then stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead dough for 5 minutes on a floured surface.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat Dutch oven in a 450°F oven for 30 minutes.
  6. Shape dough into a round loaf and place in the hot Dutch oven.
  7. Bake covered for 30 minutes, then uncovered for 10 minutes.
  8. Cool before slicing.
