Description
Crispy and golden air fryer french fries made with minimal oil. A healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried fries.
Ingredients
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and peel the potatoes.
- Cut them into even strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain and pat dry thoroughly.
- Toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
- Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes for even cooking.
- Remove when golden and crispy. Serve hot.
Notes
- For best results, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of the fries.
- For extra crispiness, increase the cooking time by 2-3 minutes.
