Description

Crispy and golden air fryer french fries made with minimal oil. A healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried fries.


Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)


Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes.
  2. Cut them into even strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  4. Drain and pat dry thoroughly.
  5. Toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  7. Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  8. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes for even cooking.
  9. Remove when golden and crispy. Serve hot.
