Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 12 oz whole wheat pasta
- 3 cups water
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried basil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into small meatballs.
- Place meatballs in the crockpot.
- Add marinara sauce, water, and dried basil. Stir gently.
- Cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
- Add pasta and stir. Cook for another 30 minutes or until pasta is tender.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- Use whole wheat pasta for extra fiber.
- Ground chicken or beef can replace turkey.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
