Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook lasagna noodles as per package instructions.
  3. Brown beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Mix ricotta, egg, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  6. Layer noodles, beef sauce, ricotta mix, and mozzarella in a baking dish.
  7. Repeat layers, ending with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  8. Bake covered for 25 minutes, then uncovered for 15 minutes.
  9. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
