Description

A healthy garlic knots bread loaf made with whole wheat flour and fresh garlic.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water


Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, salt, and oregano in a bowl.
  3. Add yeast mixture and olive oil to dry ingredients. Knead into a dough.
  4. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Divide dough into small pieces and shape into knots.
  6. Place knots on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F for 15 minutes.
  7. Brush with minced garlic mixed with olive oil before serving.
