Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, Parmesan, garlic, oregano, basil, pepper, and salt.
- Add mozzarella, egg, and breadcrumbs. Combine well.
- Shape mixture into small balls (about 1.5 inches in diameter).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Brown the beef balls on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

- Use lean ground turkey for a lower-fat option.
- For extra crispiness, broil for 1-2 minutes after baking.
