Description
A quick and easy recipe for healthy glazed ham and cheese sliders, perfect for a light meal or snack.
Ingredients
- 12 whole wheat slider buns
- 12 slices lean ham
- 6 slices low-fat Swiss cheese, halved
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp poppy seeds
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
- Layer ham and cheese on the buns, then cover with the top halves.
- Mix Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, poppy seeds, and garlic powder in a bowl.
- Brush the glaze evenly over the tops of the sliders.
- Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes until golden.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use gluten-free buns if needed.
- Substitute turkey for ham if preferred.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
