Description
A hearty and healthy casserole that combines tortellini, cheese, and steak for a comforting dish.
Ingredients
- 12 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 lb lean steak, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan. Add steak and cook until browned.
- Add marinara sauce, garlic powder, basil, salt, and pepper to the steak. Stir well.
- Mix the cooked tortellini with the steak and sauce.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use whole wheat tortellini for extra fiber.
- Substitute with ground beef if steak is unavailable.
- Add veggies like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrients.
