Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup shredded low-fat mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the almond milk and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and flatten each portion into a small circle.
  5. Place a small amount of shredded mozzarella cheese in the center of each circle, then fold the dough around the cheese to form a ball.
  6. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, brush them with the beaten egg, and sprinkle with dried oregano if desired.
